Day of the Economy

The Day of the Economy in the St. Jakobshalle Basel is the largest event of its kind in the Basel region and one of the largest networking events for business and politics in Switzerland. Around 3,000 guests attend this top-class event, 750 of whom then take part in the VIP Networking Dinner. The Day of th e Economy stands for an event with top speakers who captivate and inspire the audience with their keynote speeches. The guests receive information, thoughts and suggestions on the economic issues of the time and can cultivate their network around the event. The theme for the 2023 edition is “Back on the road to success”. The Swiss economy is a success story. After the pandemic, in a time of change and upheaval, the challenges for the economy are great. What do we have to do to ensure that we continue to be successful in the future? Four speakers will address these and other questions. The focus is on the four most important location factors, skilled workers and the labor market; economic factors; Mobility; Energy. At the exclusive VIP Networking Dinner 2023, top restaurateurs such as Flavio Fermi (star chef, Ackermannshof Basel) and Rolf Mürner (patisserie world champion, author) will cook. The Award Winning Ceremony of the Swiss Innovation Challenge (SIC) also takes place as part of the “Day of Business”.
